Program Length, Grandfathering, and Financial Planning Financial Aid Webinar | June 2026

This video is intended for current students of Saybrook University whose records may require additional review based on program length, remaining time to completion, or potential grandfathering eligibility under the federal student loan changes beginning July 1, 2026. The video explains why program length and expected time to credential may affect whether a student can qualify for the temporary federal grandfathering provision. It also reviews the new graduate and professional loan limits, the federal lifetime borrowing limit, and the importance of confirming academic progress and remaining program requirements. Students will be walked through the Determining Future Loan Eligibility guide and the Gap Analysis Calculator to help estimate possible remaining federal loan eligibility and identify any potential funding gap. Please note: Being included in this review group does not mean a final eligibility determination has been made. This video is for planning purposes only. Students should work directly with Financial Aid, Academic Advising, and/or the Registrar before making enrollment, program, or financing decisions.
