Federal Student Loan Changes and Planning Tools Financial Aid Webinar | June 2026

This video provides a general overview of upcoming federal student loan changes beginning July 1, 2026, including changes to Graduate PLUS Loan availability, new annual and aggregate loan limits, the federal lifetime borrowing limit, and the temporary grandfathering provision. Students at Saybrook University will also be introduced to two planning resources: the Determining Future Loan Eligibility guide and the Gap Analysis Calculator. These tools are intended to help students review their federal loan history, estimate possible remaining federal loan eligibility, and begin planning for any potential funding gap. This video is intended for incoming and continuing graduate and professional students who want to better understand the federal loan changes and prepare for future financial planning conversations. Please note: This video is for general planning purposes only and does not represent a final financial aid eligibility determination. Students should contact Financial Aid for guidance specific to their individual circumstances.
