In August 2026, I summited My. Rinjani in Lombok, Indonesia. It was a tough hike, but no glacier travel or real risks involved. The sunrise was absolutely stunning, with the crater, lake, and triangle volcano shadow all lined up together. This is the full first 24 hours (out of 3D2N on the mountain) w/ the trek to basecamp, 2 a.m. wakeup, midnight ascent, and sunrise summit. I went with Jou Trekking who made it all possible. This video is mostly just for a personal memory for me, but maybe you'll enjoy it.
