Rebooting the Brain | Dr. Sharan Srinivasan | TEDxBITBangalore

Dr. Sharan Srinivasan has spent over three decades asking one question: How can we help people regain not just their health, but their lives? His work has always gone beyond the operating room, focused on giving people with neurological conditions the chance to recover and reconnect. Having performed thousands of complex brain and spine surgeries, Dr. Srinivasan believes that the future of medicine lies at the intersection of science, technology, and compassion. His work in neurorehabilitation and medical innovation reflects a simple but powerful idea: recovery doesn't end with surgery, it begins there. Dr. Sharan Srinivasan is a renowned neurosurgeon specializing in functional neurosurgery, neuro-modulation, and neurorehabilitation. A graduate of Bangalore Medical College & Research Institute and Karnataka’s first DNB Neurosurgery candidate, he has performed over 8,000 major brain and spine surgeries. Internationally recognized for performing dystonia surgery while the patient played guitar, his work also explores the use of AI and AR/VR technologies in neuroscience and rehabilitation. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
